Friday Crafty Hour – Summer 2022

Join us after work on Friday evenings this summer for some messy crafting fun on our patio. We’re featuring a rotating set of offerings with no reservations required. Projects are intended for ages 10 to adult. Your littles get to make a mess all the time – this is meant for older kids and adults to have some playful fun. We’ll have aprons and shoe covers, but suggest tossing an old t-shirt in your car to change into if you’re coming strait from work. These paints and dyes are artist quality and will stain clothing.

** For our younger crafters, check out messy crafts camp which will use washable paints and no fabric dyes. **

Indigo Dyeing – July 15th, August 5th, September 2nd

Learn to make beautiful Shibori dyed cloths in indigo blue.

We’ll have the dye buckets setup plus all the materials to create your own beautiful designs. $15 per person covers pre-soak, dye, rubber-bands, twine, sticks, etc. plus instruction. Bring up to 2 of your own small cotton fabric items to dye (no large items like curtains or tablecloths), or purchase hankies, dishcloths, tote-bags, backpacks, pillow covers, table runners, place mats and more from us for additional $3-$20.

Ice Dyeing – July 1st, July 29th, August 19th

Ice dyeing is a simple dyeing method that creates random and sometimes unexpected color interactions.

We’ll have the ice plus all the materials to create your own beautiful designs. $15 per person covers pre-soak, ice, a variety of dye colors, plus instruction. Bring up to 2 of your own small cotton fabric items to dye (no large items like curtains or tablecloths), or purchase hankies, dishcloths, tote-bags, backpacks, pillow covers, table runners, place mats and more from us for additional $3-$20.

*The ice needs several hours to melt, so we recommend coming early to start the process. You can leave and go to dinner, then come back later in the evening or return on Saturday to rinse and pick up your items.

Splatter Painting – July 8th, August 12th

Bring on your inner Jackson Pollack by throwing or squirting paint on canvas.

We’ll be spreading out tents and ground cloths on our patio so that you can go to town with the paint. $15 per person includes paint and 1 10×10 canvas. You may purchase additional canvases or upgrade size for additional cost $3 – $20.

*Your painting may be too wet to transport. We’ll hold your items at the studio for up to week for later pickup.*

Paint Pouring – June 24th, July 22nd

Create stunning abstract art with paint that oozes and flows across the surface.

We’ll be spreading out tents and ground cloths on our patio so that you can go to town with the paint. $15 per person includes paint and 1 10×10 wood panel. You may purchase additional wood panels or upgrade size for additional cost $3 – $20.
