When will I receive my first kit?
As this subscription is just getting started, first kits will be shipping the first week of January 2022 for orders placed prior to Jan. 1st. Orders placed after Jan. 1st will ship within 5 business days. Depending on shipping carriers, you’ll typically have the order in hand in 7-10 days.
What’s in the first kit?
The first kit is larger than the others because it contains equipment that you’ll continue to use for all other other kits. The starter kit always focuses on soy container candle with a mix of jars and tins. The optional colors and scents included will change with each season but the starter kit will otherwise be the same. The basic skills you learn in this kit will set the foundation for the other kits we send.
What’s in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th kits?
In your 2nd - 4th kits, you’ll make votives, pillars, floating/molded candles, and multi-wicked candles. The order of these will vary depending on when you subscribe. To experience all of these, you should subscribe for a full year or pay as you go for four quarters. Additionally, each kit will contain a lesson to further your candle making knowledge in addition to the skills learned in that quarters project.
What kind of instruction will I receive?
Each kit will include an instruction booklet with full color photos and written instructions. Additionally, we'll offer two live online events each month where we demo the project, take questions, and offer time to meet and share with other home chandlers. These will be recorded in case the timing is not convenient, but in general these will be held on weekends.
What kind of wax is used?
This subscription focuses on soy wax candles.

What type of fragrances are included?
Each kit will include 2 high quality fragrance oils. These are synthetic and may cause reactions in allergic individuals. We don’t include essential oils in our kits due to cost (and it limits some of the amazing scents available), however you can use your own or add essential oils to your kit as an add-on. Specific scents may vary due to availability, but will generally be on the lines of:
Spring - Light florals, lemon
Summer - Something fruity or tropical, citronella
Fall - Pumpkin of course, apple, vanilla
Winter - Chocolate, sugar cookie, Pine
The starter kit always includes vanilla in addition to the seasonal scents as it’s one of the most universally popular option.
Can I change the order of the kits?
No. As a subscription plan, every subscriber gets the same seasonal kit except for first time subscribers who get the starter kit. The logistics of unique scheduling would raise costs and we want to keep this as inexpensive as possible.
