Want to learn crochet? Despite common belief, you don’t even need a crochet hook! In this class, we’ll teach you the single crochet stitch using only your hands. It’s easy and fun and offers a great stepping stone to more traditional crochet. Our project will be creating two plush, soft-sided crocheted baskets which are wonderful for stashing more yarn or sewing projects, some craft supplies, or giving as a gift. Using thick, chunky yarn, these baskets whip up quick even for newbies. You’ll be able to complete at least one, and mostly likely two baskets during our class time, measuring roughly 8 and 10 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall. You’ll be able to complete your baskets with rope handles.
This workshop is for ages 12+, but under 16’s must attend with an adult. No observers – all participants must have a pre-paid ticket due to space constraints.
Please choose your 1st and 2nd color choices. You may mix colors and do one of each or a two-tone basket. Please check the box for yes if that is your preference. We will do our best to get your choice of colors, but cannot control future availability from the supplier. Register early so we can get your skeins ordered.
