Dive into the world of fabric dyeing as you learn the basics of indigo, a beautiful and timeless pigment. Explore the rich history and vibrant possibilities of this ancient dyeing technique as you learn to transform plain fabrics into stunning works of art. Through hands-on demonstrations and guided experimentation, participants will explore various folding, twisting, and binding techniques to create exquisite patterns on fabric. Each participant will dye 4 tea towels which can be used as intended or as fabric for craft projects. Additionally, each person may bring 2 small cotton items of their own (pillow case or smaller) to dye such as shirts or tote bags. We will have some tote bags, throw pillow covers, table runners, and more available for purchase.
This workshop is for ages 12 to adult, but minors must attend with an adult. Pre-registration required to hold your spot.
